Have spent the day on these ... and that's not even half of them! There's another couple of hundred (at least) to go! But I have to stop for today because of the pain in my thumbs ...

I must be a glutton for punishment! I've spent hours today cutting out 562 squares for the background of my Jelly Garden quilt!

I've decided to use the dark pink for the background. The white (it's much whiter than it looks in the photo) is a little bit too see-through, and the seams are going to show from the front. So dark pink it'll  have to be.

I haven't had a Xmas tree for ages, and I was determined to have one this year! This is a new 6ft tree from Debenhams (£100).  

More Hexagons

I've stitched some more hexagons for my Jelly Garden quilt.  If I'd chosen a wider number of colours and patterns, it would have been easier to plan out the flowers and where each would feature in the design.  With a wider range of colours I could have gone more scrappy, and could have done what was suggested in the pattern, which was to make some flowers with several colours, but with these colours I need to be more precise.

My latest EPP project.  I bought the pattern from Etsy (sweetgirlstudio.etsy.com)  

I wanted to use a multi-coloured jelly roll, but ended up with all pinky reds and white!  

I have a choice of two background fabrics (dark pink and white), so that's the next decision I need to make.

New Blog - Same Name ...

Different blog, same name, slightly different URL!  I've given up trying to access my old blog to add posts to ...  Doesn't seem to work with my "new" e-mail address. Hopefully I can move everything on the old blog to the new one ... but we'll see.  I also want to get a more exciting background!
