Mini Sampler

Had forgotten I had this Janet Grainger kit! Found it in a drawer the other week. It's now stitched and ready to go into the haberdashery shop. I decided to leave the original year, as on the stitched example.

Mini Cross Stitch Cushion

I've been doing a lot of cross stitch over the past couple of weeks, but flitting from one thing to another. I got the pattern for the design on the left from a website (one of many free patterns), but I miscalculated the size of the design and I didn't have the space for the alphabet and the quilt block, so I just added my initials and the year and made it into a mini cushion! It's stuffed with bits of leftover wadding. I've bought some fabric on eBay and when that arrives I want to make the heart hanger. (The pattern is from the Samplers-and-Santas website.)

Here's another cross stitch design I stitched years ago, from a chart in a magazine, and which I finally got round to finishing today. Ang gave me a bag of fabrics yesterday, and I thought this gingham went well with the colours in the design.
