Filled Flower Buckets

Can't believe I had just enough flowers to fill the 6 buckets I made! I had to mix flowers in most of the buckets, but I think it looks nicer like that. They're now ready to go into the shop. 😁

Flower Buckets

I've finished the flower buckets. I have lots of cut flowers to display in them - roses, tulips and lillies mostly. Those, of course, will go in the flower shop. I will add dried baby's breath when I have it. I bought small bunches in several colours on eBay, but parcels can take months to get here!

Flower Shop

After I'd put on the two taps I found a nicer wall tap which was obviously the one I was intending to use. I managed to scratch the tiles behind the taps drilling the holes too. The sink looks better in the flesh, but I'll probably put a flower pot or something inside to hide it a little bit. I'm not bothering with  piping because you wouldn't be able too see them.

The workbench in place in the shop. I think I'm going to put a shelf on the wall to put the cash register.

I wigged and dressed the doll years ago, and painted the chair (it looks like something I may have made from a kit, but I can't remember), and added a cushion to the seat! I'm sure it's by Jane Harrop though.

I chose a seated doll, with a "holding" hand so she can hold a little spade in it!

Looks comfy ...

The lid to this shop was in pieces, from having cats jumping up onto it, so I've had to stick the wooden frame back together. I'm not going to do it now, but when I finish with all three interiors I'm going to have to re-paint the wood around the plastic "roofs" because they're more grey than white at the moment! I was thinking I could cover the wood in washi tape ... but I'm not sure how that would work.

Flower Shop

When I finished the table for the gift shop I decided I'd clear all the boxes off the Street of Shops and clean the insides of each shop. The worst is the flower shop because the "lid" has been broken twice, by two different cats ...

I'd started making a work bench for the flower shop years ago, and so I decided I'd finish it today. And here it is -

I'm trying to make a "ceramic" sink. I read on someone's blog where they'd painted a sink with acrylic paint and then coated it in varnish, and it looked very good - it looked like ceramic. My sink is  from a bottle, so I'm not sure if it's going to work as well, but I'll give it a try!

The worktable doesn't look very nice, but I'm imagining the owner of the flower shop was on a tight budget when she opened her shop, and instead of buying a swish piece of furniture she decided to upcycle an old cupboard!

I also want to add a water pipe (or whatever they're called) to the underside of the cupboard.

I'll probably add a bit of dirt here and there - it looks too clean.
