I painted, and distressed, this chair and put it in the gift shop. I'm going to use it to display things on and around. I remembered I had a lot of these chairs last night, but I couldn't find it until I took some things out of the cupboard. And then I saw a box labelled "Chairs" - yes! I didn't realise this one had a chip at the bottom of one of the legs, but since I was going to distress it it didn't really matter. And, besides, I will probably put something against the leg, to hold the chair securly to the floor. Not that the shop is going to be moved about, but just in case.
I can't wait for my little kits from Jane Harrop to arrive, so I can see the shop come together. I still haven't made anything to "sell" in the shop though. I want to wait to see how I'm going to lay out the furniture in the shop and then start to make things to fill the shelves, etc.
There's a video on YouTube on making miniatures candles which you can light, and the maker uses melted wax from a tea light to fill a mini vase (and also made a mould to make loose candles). I don't intend to make lightable candles, but I like the idea of using real wax, and just pouring it into the jars I bought last night. I have lots of small Yankee Candles in different colours, so I'll have plenty of choice.
I also ordered some glass jars (to make Yankee Candle type candles in), and a few other things I "needed" ...
