I've spent the day painting.
I made a two-tier stand to put the bales of fabrics in the shop on, and I'm now painting it.
I just make it up as I go along, and work with whatever bits of wood or card I have!
I found these two ↑ this morning. I was looking for the one on the right, for the balls of yarn for the haberdashery. The shelves are a little wonky, and there are far too many of them too. If I was making it now I would make it smaller. I only have 12 colours of woold to fill the shelves, and there are 49 shelves ... I may end up making a smaller unit, I don't know.
The shelves on the left was a project in a dollhouse magazine - I think they were for a newsagents, and those were postcard or magazine shelves. But ... they're perfect for the pre-cuts - the jelly rolls, charm packs and layer cakes! I've made a sign to go at the top too, using die cuts and a rub-on.
Why bumble bee? No reason, it was just the only bit of rub-on which would fit on the little plaque! And I liked the way the letters weren't in a straight line, and had the dots at either end. Yes, I like it!
